Boutinot Rhône | The Wine Of The Rhône, France

Boutinot Fide et Arte ‘Les Cerisiers’, Côtes du Rhône Rosé 2015

Our winemaking philosophy is to produce the very best Côtes du Rhône Rosé we can. To make 'Les Cerisiers' we select from vineyards with the intention of making rosé, nothing else. For 2015, our ninth vintage, we once again journeyed across the Rhône river, to vineyards on the right bank close to Tavel and further south from  Jonquiers, to source varieties naturally suited to rosé – Grenache Noir for body and Syrah for a touch of spice and a drop of Cinsault adding a vivid Mediterranean freshness to the finish.

As with previous vintages, ‘Les Cerisiers’ 2015 is made in the same way as the best rosés of Provence, using the ‘rosé de presse’ method of gentle pressing the same morning the grapes are picked, and then vinified at cool temperatures to preserve the delicate aromas and flavours.

'Les Cerisiers' 2015 bursts with the vitality of freshly picked red fruit. Delicately perfumed on the nose with notes of red berry fruits; the palate is luscious and juicy with a striking freshness adding a crisp tang to the finish
