Boutinot Rhône 'on prescription' at Imbibe Live!

Les-Coteaux-09-Bottle-HiResBoutinot Rhône are gearing up for this weeks Imbibe Live! event (3rd & 4th July) by taking part in Boutinot's 'Wine List Surgery'.

The surgery will give sommeliers and wine buyers the chance to discuss the shape of their wine list, with Nigel Wilkinson MS on hand to prescribe ways to improve and update lists. Wines will also be available to taste from Boutinot, the Sommelier Wine Award Merchant of the Year Boutinot for the 4th year running.

Among the 12 wines on Nigel's 'prescription' list of great value classics will be the Boutinot Rhône 'Les Coteaux' Côtes du Rhône Villages 2009, a Gold medal winner at the Sommelier Wine Awards 2012 and described by judge Sarah Jane Evans MW as 'textbook wine. You could eat anything with this. Very juicy, with a mocha note'.

'Les Coteaux' typifies Boutinot Rhône's winemaking philosophy. Sourced from the vineyards of names villages, wine is enriched with a small propotion of barrel-aged wine from Sablet, Séguret and Cairanne. Boutinot 'Les Coteaux' is therefore a selection of the best from some of the 17 named Côtes du Rhône Villages, rather than wine 'left over' after making named Villages (as is common practice in the Rhône).

'Les Coteaux' will also feauture in the Wine World Feature Zone as judges select the 'Great Value Classics' and 'Gastropub Wine of the Year' 2012.
